Synopsis
He felt the dark seductress stroking his cheek. By reflex, he jerked away from her touch. She chuckled, “Such vitality… I can feel it almost bursting out of your skin. All of it… for me.”
Despite being cursed since childhood, Glaive Stoutheart continues to pursue the Path of the Paladin as the oldest rookie Paladin. All he wants is to develop and train the skills needed to be a true, full Paladin, so he can prove himself to his family, but his path is full of obstacles.
Obstacles like unpredictable encounters in dungeons, new party members that depend on him for... things, demons of all types and schools of thought, rival Paladins and Clerics from a popular new faction, and the insidious machinations of exploitative power-hungry politicians.
What's a Paladin-in-training to do?
Stay true to the Path!
Hi RoyalRoaders, about how I'll be releasing chapters, I've learned a lesson from writing my previous story on RR, trying to maintain a weekly schedule while struggling with work and health. After receiving valuable feedback, I've decided to try writing at least a complete story arc, then start posting, editing each chapter as I go. That way, I won't leave readers hanging for too long, and at least there will be some resolution in between breaks. Hope this works better! :)
To those who've DM'ed me corrections and feedback (including one who was quite, er, passionate about the topic) or commented, or rated, thank you, I appreciate you all so much. If one day, there was someone so awesome as to review my story, whew, my gratitude would overflow like the banks of the River Huang. May your days be long and your nights be pleasant, hope you enjoy the story.
