ill write a real description + title later, but the basic gist is that this eighty-something-year-old fisherman guy gets caught up with this whole 'Mechanism' thingy (the cool name i have for the litrpg system at play here) and along with his young apprentice, he's trying to restore his decaying homeland to its former glory. the aforementioned mechanism also really really seems to want him dead and forces him to do crazy suicidal stuff every now and again
