Wrote this for a class project. Takes inspiration from "Tell-Tale Heart" by Poe and the movie "Voices". First ever short story I've written. Tell me what you think! Their passionate days take a dark turn when the townsfolk complain of a foul smell from Maryia's house, leading to an unexpected tragedy. Unaware of the brewing chaos, the man finds himself entangled in a mob, accused of a murder he didn't commit. As he faces a brutal fate, a shocking revelation about Maryia's demise unfolds, leaving him in the grip of a twisted reality.
