All Gregory's life he wanted to be a Paladin, joining the Order and defeating evil. Vanquishing foes of the nation of Steinheim and becoming a hero.  So when he came of age he eagerly left for the trials, traveling with his father to the mysterious compound where the paladins lived and trained in hopes of being selected to join their ranks.  So this was supposed to be an epilogue for my book 'Odin Stone' but it got out of hand and became it's own sort of stand alone type thing. I realize some of it won't make sense but hopefully some of you enjoy it.
