Not a chapter, Dungeon trap discussion

Hey everyone,

@Runner suggested posting a chapter for fans to post trap ideas. I won't use all of them, but will definitely be using some. Try not to get too elaborate. All the human players will be minibosses or bosses, but that doesn't mean I can't have a trap in that room as well. Keeping that in mind, here are a few of their major skills to play around with.

First miniboss will be Derrick. Giant with spellcasting abilities. His weapon is immune to magic, so he must cast with off hand only. Boss stage abilities will be changing the landscape by summoning other worlds. Right now I am leaning toward summoning Musspelheim at 60% health, Jotunheim at 30% health, and Ginnungagap at 5% health. These boost fire damage, cold damage, and eliminate magic respectively.

Second miniboss will be a combo of Phoebe and Jon. Room will have an enchantment so that it is a full moon, boosting Phoebe as she is a chimera evolved from a werewolf. She goes into frenzy in hand to hand combat, the more opponents the better.  She can change portions of her body to fit either a wolf, snake, or bear. Jon curses people, which can also heal Phoebe. I'm open to seeing what curses you want Jon to have. Right now, he has weaken armor, reflect melee damage, and one for increasing the mana cost of skills.

You might be reading a stolen copy. Visit Royal Road for the authentic version.

Marty has a decent variety of skills. Shadowgheist to create a clone. Shadow magic to include binding, dark bolt, reality slash. Light magic includes light bolt and lance of light. He can stock up on potions, but whatever ones he makes should be tailored towards offense. The skills from Thanatos are really only good for one attack in the battle due to long cooldowns. He also has the forbidden spells Whiteness (thinking about changing this to Whiteout) and Deo Noct. Whiteness does damage, while Deo Noct is sensory deprivation for a while. Again, each one is a one off.

Inkler is battling with Marty. He has his own version of reality slash, and limited invisibility. He will also have a skill like a displacer beast, creating an illusion nearby to trick others.

Dungeon traps: We have a strobe light and a false light for trap detect. I am going to allow one gravity well and one antigravity well per room. Feel free to go nuts, but there has to be a safe path through the trap. Not fair to instantly flood the room and drown people. The body must be recoverable as well, though you can make it difficult. Fall off a balance beam into a dark oblivion? The dead body materializes at the beginning of the obstacle course. There is also a drow clan enchanting for us, so we aren't limited to what spells the party knows.
