Darius attempted to pay for the sins he committed by forfeiting his own life. He never regretted the choice he made in the wantonly horrid punishment of the Creature that stole his peaceful life away from him. However, the guilt of the atrocities still rested heavily on his soul. In an odd circumstance, a half-dead deity decided to also take that from him, in an attempt to further her own cause.
