Nomad is a complete short story that I wrote as part of a writing exercise a handful of years ago.  I have chosen to post this as penance for not meeting my deadlines on another project.  I think that it's pretty bad, mostly because I tried to do a particular artsy thing and failed horribly.  This had lead to amazingly repetetive paragraph breaks and just an overall nonsensical and annoying vibe to the dialog.  There's a fun story in there somewhere, and I'm sure its enjoyable on a handful of levels, but overall I should warn you guys this isnt a technically 'good' story. Now, with that glowing review, I happily present a post apocalypse sci fi short story.  It should have some fun tech ideas and decent action scenes along the way.  Dunno if it really counts as grimdark, but its not exactly pleasant happy times either.  I do hope you guys enjoy some of it, but also please feel free to make fun of it, that's the point of posting it here.  I do regularly, its quite cathartic.  :)
