Everyone he knew owned next to nothing, ate nothing, deserved nothing. Yet one person who came by every few months, the taxman, lived in luxury. Adults tried to explain to Isma why, teach him of kings, lords, feuds and taxmen, but he opposed it. Refusing his and his family's life of poverty, he played the part of a tax collector himself and took what was never his. His first true smile came that day, and going back to the peasant life could never bring that feeling back. So he decides to leave it all with little but a few silver coins, some clothes, and a backpack. He now thrusts himself into a world of magic, nobility and politics he cares not for, ready to take what he wants for himself, or for those he cares for the most. And nobody expected somebody like him.Progression fantasy focused on the MC socially engineering his way into... basically anything. His antics will lead him to travel all around the world. He's not a monster without ethics but his code of conduct is flexible. Release Schedule: Five chapters a week of 1.8k+ Mon-Fri (small one-two week hiatuses after big arcs). First weekend I will pump out a few extra.Expect: 1. Not an overpowered MC, just really good at dealing with people. Tries to find clever solutions if possible to avoid fights he can't win.2. Slow progression with time skips to keep the story moving. Few fantasy elements to start with. Personal fantasy setting (because saying original and having elves and dwarves is kinda funny).3. Some profanity, some humor, some mental health issues. Other content warnings will be used sparingly.4. Hoping to create realistic romance (writing is hard). 5.
