The larger picture can be harder to see, caught up in the individual lives of the characters.It's also a story about the burden of duty and the scars of the past. I've labelled it a tragedy, which the first book is, but that doesn't mean there isn't room for humour.Main characters include a supernatural assassin, crazy old historian and his assistant, even crazier old philosopher, an army hell bent on dealing out justice whatever the cost, and a lost and alone nine year old girl, caught between them all.This is the whole book now!
