It's hard to move up in the world. There are a few shortcuts you can take, but it might cost not just your soul, but everyone else's. It's a terrible world to be a washed-up alcoholic forklift driver in; and when you are one, there's a chance that a group of blood sucking monsters might decide you're easy pickings. That's what happened to Alex Reed, but it turns out he's a screw up in more ways than one. After being attacked for his blood, he escapes into the night, cashing in favors from his previous life so he can survive. His attackers destroy his home and steal all his money, leaving Reed homeless, and even worse, sober. But the man is a fighter, and after discovering there's a different band of blood sucking freaks at war with his attackers, he tries playing both gangs against each other, hoping like hell he can make it through this nightmare. If he doesn't, there won't even be enough of him left to fill a blood-bag.
