Novice Destroyer

Destruction isn't always a good thing but this time; it is

Explosion Damage increased by 30%

Strength +10

Emile received his first title. He didn't want it, but he couldn't deny the system about giving him the title.

The stats were useful. Emile felt that this was a sign to stop training for now. He wanted to get actual battle experience now.

Emile noticed that the time was late. He decided to go to sleep and enter the game next morning.

The Next Morning

Emile got ready to go to class. He wanted to try out the skill in the real world. Even though the incantations were correct, the fireball wouldn't come out.

After another uneventful day of class, he arrived back home. He saw Azure being busy cleaning his room once more.

He didn't stop her; he entered his Gaming Cabin to log into Nirvana.

[Welcome user of the Nirvanic System]

[You have made lots of progress in one day, nutrients are being delivered into your Gaming Cabin to allow you to be more compatible with fire]

This message was a message that he had never seen before.

[User is suggested to not log out for 12 hours]

He would gain nutrients depending on how much progress he made. He wondered how other people progressed compared to him.

He cared about the messages because it would determine many factors in his experience.

He checked out the friend's list to see his friend's activities. He noticed that they had been grinding as a party. He could see the amount of party experience they gained.

The party experience reached 132 experience out of 1000.

Emile noticed that all of them were level 3 which should have put them on an equal footing but he had the nirvanic system which could create skills and learn new abilities.

He decided to contact them about clearing the rest of the caves.

They accepted and went to the mice's cave. The insides of the cave weren't as dark as it used to be.

The mice's cave was very narrow. Emile wanted to see if he could collapse the cave and kill all the mobs within.

He started to cast a fireball. His casting time was considered slow.

"What are you doing," Asked Handsomest Crab as he watched Emile hold his hand up.

Stolen from its rightful author, this tale is not meant to be on Amazon; report any sightings.

Emile didn't respond since he was concentrating on the spell. He released the spell at the wall.

Nothing happened.

" *cough* I just wanted to show off my spell to you guys," He quickly changed the subject and acted in a suave manner.

They all gave him strange looks.

"What are you guys looking at, let's go clear the caves," Emile said as he started to walk deeper into the cave.

They all looked at each other and felt that something was different about Emile. They followed.

The cave was simple to clear since all the mice were level 1. They didn't give much experience.

It was 120 experience after clearing all the mice. They also gained around 50 party experience since there was a lot of mice in the cave. The only mob left in the cave was the mouse king.

Mouse King

Chief Ranked Monster

Level 5

Hp: 2445/2445

Atk: 60-78

Agility: 19

Skills: {Berserk}, {Dig}

Weakness: Its sense of smell is extremely high

Emile didn't have any ways to exploit the weakness. They had to take the brute force method.

"Flowing Dream will tank and I'll come in when he needs help," Emile said.

Classes didn't exist at this point in the game. Classes would be given at level 10. No one knew how they would receive their classes.

Information about the game was limited. People found out about these pieces of information by talking to villagers.

Emile wanted to test out his fireball on the boss.

Flowing Dream walked towards the boss and before he could get to close the boss dug straight underground.

He disappeared; The party quickly had their shoulders tense.

They had to listen to the surroundings to figure out where he was. Flower Queen noticed that the ground was shaking near Time Walker.

"Run," She quickly yelled out in while running towards Time Walker.

Time Walker started to run in a random direction.

The boss sprung up and charged at Time Walker with its sharp claws. Flower Queen quickly appeared behind the boss and started to attack the boss.

The boss went underground again and started to lurk. It would come out randomly. In the beginning, only Emile and Flower Queen figured out where the boss went.

The party quickly noticed that the boss was using its skill known as Dig.

The same scenario kept happening over and over again, the other's slowly understood certain cues in the surroundings that lead to the boss appearing.

As the ground tremored, tiny dust particles fell from the ceilings. These cues allowed them to know when the boss appeared.

One by one everyone could sense when the boss would pop up. A game of whack-a-mole ensued.

The boss had 15% of its health.

The boss quickly activated the skill Berserk which gained it some intelligence. The boss learned to hide much better.

When it popped up, no one expected it. None of the cues occurred.

This attack was quite lucky since it targeted Flowing Dream who had high values of Hp. The attack stat of the boss went into the 90's after entering berserk mode.

Emile thought this was the perfect time to cast Fireball since the boss would pop up in the distance. Melee wasn't an option anymore.

He launched the skill with a proficiency of 52% at the location where the ground was shaking.

The Mouse King quickly sprung up and got hit by the fireball. It didn't notice that there was a projectile heading its way.

[Burn Inflicted; Inflicts 10 damage per second for 10 seconds]

The burn effect was extremely powerful. The boss realized that the most dangerous person out of this group was Emile.

The boss dug into the ground and headed for Emile's direction. Emile couldn't sense the boss so he waited patiently.

The other's were worried about Emile. They didn't have anything that could help him out. They weren't aware of when the boss would arrive.

Emile activated Bubble Shield to lose less health from the boss.

At this moment Emile sensed fire energy coming from a few meters ahead of him. It was coming towards him at a fast pace. He never experienced this before. Throughout the fight, he had never sensed fire.

He quickly predicted that this was the boss. He was smart enough to realize that the Burn Effect also came with its own set of benefits.

Not only did it do damage per second it also told him the location of the enemy.

Emile started to chant fireball. The boss quickly appeared in front of him and went for a slash.

Its claw was sharp to the extremes and would definitely deal lots of damage. The eyes were red-colored like it had a grudge against Emile.

As the slash was about to hit Emile he activated the skill Unmoveable.

The Bubble Shield didn't block all the damage. He didn't get sent flying back due to Unmoveable.

His fireball activated.

[Burn damage extended; deals 15 hp for 20 seconds]

The boss slowly burned to death. This could be considered another weakness that he had never learned of. The fur of the boss was flammable.

The boss became desperate and started to attack at a faster pace. Emile activated Void-Steps to dodge the attacks.

The boss missed. The only person in the bosses eye's was Emile. The boss didn't attack anyone else.

Emile kept dodging and the bosses health kept also kept ticking down.

The burn effect ended.

Emile wanted to finish the boss off with a fireball. He started preparing a chant and asked Flowing Dream to stall for some time.

The others were unable to stall for time because they would die instantly from a single hit. They could only watch helplessly as they didn't have any long-range attacks

Flowing Dream tanked 2 hits before having to back off. He was 75% of the way to completing the spell. The boss charged at him. He had to increase the casting time.

He risked his life to finish the spell. He increased his casting speed by 50%.

He knew that he would take a lot of damage if he failed to cast it so it put pressure into breaking through. Just as the boss was inches away from him he successfully cast it.

Fireball!
