The Nexus was humanity’s crowning achievement—a virtual utopia without limits.  Entire worlds have fallen. Cities burn while their inhabitants are harvested—some converted into cold, unthinking machines, while others are trapped in simulations that drain them of identity until nothing remains. As the Nexus spreads across the galaxy, converting entire planets into processing hubs for its unknown purpose, Aetherveil is left with one final, terrifying realization. This is not war.
