East of Ermos, beyond The Giant Forest of Melrum, lies the peaceful and prosperous Young Mountains. Home to several dwarven republics, some dwarven clans, and a few dwarven petty kingdoms, the ongoings of The Young Mountains, also known as The Dwarven States, is relatively shielded from the turmoil to their west. No dungeon lords have ever set foot here, and no wars have been fought for a long time. Among this peace and tranquility lies the small, and slightly poor, Republic of Redratall. Within the mountain capital of Redratall, Evenin, the daughter of the prime minister, gets an exclusive and personal education from a young age. Her father wants her to join politics, like himself. With her life set up for success in the political sphere, Evenin does indeed follow into her father's footstep, but not quite in the way anyone would've suspected. For this little backwater girl will end up at the crux of a world in motion, a world torn apart, and her actions will cast a reverberent echo for the world to come. This is a side-story to the book series New Magic Brothers. An episodic epos, this story is told in a very different style to that of the main series. If you like history and want to learn about the history of Aclima, I recommend you read this book.
