Synopsis
To fall in love is to be selfish...i wish it was any different....
It's always great to have someone that can never forget you...but having someone you can never forget is a curse..The hypocrisy of love...
This story was inspired by a short story by the same name from the author of Advent of three calamities....I enjoyed that short story and thought it was a shame the author never thought of expanding it
NEVER STOPPED SMILING
by [TH4TW31RD0]
David has spent most of his life feeling like he’s unraveling. With each doctor’s visit and every sleepless night, his world shrinks around him, the possibilities narrowing until he feels like a shadow—always watching from the sidelines. He believes he’s destined to disappear unnoticed, until he crosses paths with Amelia, a quiet, enigmatic girl who hides her own pain beneath layers of silence and distance.
In the world of a high school drama class, they’re assigned as scene partners, and an unlikely connection begins to grow. Through shared rehearsals, hidden glances, and late-night conversations, David and Amelia discover a sanctuary in each other, a place where they can finally let their masks slip. From abandoned greenhouses to whispered monologues, they piece together a fragile hope, one that neither of them dared believe they deserved.
But as they learn to lean on each other, they’re forced to confront the weight of the past and the fear of an uncertain future. In a world that expects them to perform a version of themselves that feels false, David and Amelia must decide if they have the courage to live—and love—in the truth of who they really are.
Never stopped smiling is a hauntingly tender story about finding hope in unexpected places, facing the beauty and chaos of life, and discovering that sometimes, the best parts of ourselves are hidden in the quietest spaces.
