Synopsis
In the neon-soaked sprawl of a dystopian megacity, where the promises of progress mask the rot of corporate greed, Yoru Ketsurugi carves her path of vengeance. Raised in a world suffocated by propaganda, surveillance, and the illusion of salvation, Yoru once believed in the integrity of her father, Hinotori Ketsurugi, a man betrayed and destroyed by the very corporation he served. The shadow of his death and the dark truths revealed in his journals ignite a fire within her that refuses to be extinguished.
Kantokusha Corporation, the omnipotent force behind the city’s shimmering facade, hides its monstrous experiments and world-shaping ambitions beneath its promises of curing PISDD—a deadly disease tied to the pollution they created. Their propaganda floods the streets, recruiting “devotees” with the hope of saving humanity, while millions disappear into the machine of their cruel experiments. As Yoru delves deeper into their labyrinthine corruption, she uncovers the scars left on billions of lives and the horrors that tore her family apart.
Armed with her late mother’s katana, Shinsei no Kage, and guided by the memory of her father’s failed rebellion, Yoru wages war against the corporate leviathan. Alongside her tech-savvy ally, Furosha—a teenage prodigy with his own score to settle—Yoru dismantles Kantokusha Corp piece by piece, facing bio-modified enforcers, cybernetic monstrosities, and traitors lurking in plain sight. Her journey is not just one of revenge but a fight to honor the countless lives crushed under the corporation’s heel.
As Yoru battles the darkness, she wrestles with her own humanity, questioning whether she can endure the weight of her mission without succumbing to the very ruthlessness she fights against. Neon Nights is a brutal, unrelenting odyssey of revenge, justice, and the cost of rebellion in a world where hope flickers like a dying neon light.
