Yuta was really tired and don’t feel good, firstly he lost his right arm and some blood, then he traveled the whole night to get back at the team gathering point, and now after telling Koichi the details about his fight he went to sleep and after less than a minute he is already sleeping.
Seeing Yuta sleeping peacefully, Koichi was thinking regretfully about his decision to order formation eleven back then, when he sensed a strong chakra signature inside the bandit hideout. That was an A-rank Kiri rogue shinobi that also sensed Koichi at a time. Back then Koichi was worried, but not about being able to kill the enemy, but he was worried about that the enemy might attack his team, using them as his weakness.
In the fight between high-level Jonins there is no place for a Genin, Koichi can’t be everywhere at once and one casual attack from a Jonin that was not blocked by Koichi in time can easily wipe out his entire team. To prevent that he ordered an immediate scatter and retreat, but what he overlooked is a two Chunin level shinobi along with the high-Jonin level threat.
Of course, Koichi was able to sense those two Chunins too, but he didn’t pay much attention to them, as he was intent to wipe them out with one strong wide range Fire release attack. But it didn’t work as rogue Jonin protected them swiftly with his Water release and let them run away, at that point Koichi was unable to stop them as he already clashed with a rogue Jonin.
By the time he killed the rogue Jonin, and the bandits in the area was wiped out earlier by his initial wide range Fire release attack, he tracked one of the runed away Chunins, he found out that his target changed directions after it initially slipped from him and chased one of his Genins. Later Koichi found the traces of a battle that was mostly close combat but there were no bodies, and the trail of one person that went further from there in the direction of the team-two gathering point, so it was definitely one of his Genins.
Understanding that much, Koichi returned to the bandit camp and tracked another run-away Chunin. Sometime later he found another place where the fight took place, this time it had signs of water style being used, as well as some sort of Fuinjutsu seals and a few senbons in the grass.
Then Koichi spotted the signs of one person leaving the area in the team-two gathering point direction. Seeing that Koichi was relieved thinking that his team successfully dealt with the two run away Chunins, and he returned to the gathering point and waited for his Genins to come there shortly after.
And now Koichi was regretted his choice of scattering his team back then, he didn’t want them to being hit and killed all at once by the enemy Jonin back then, but he oversaw the two enemy Chunins will slip away from him and chaise down his team instead. He blamed himself for what happened with Yuta.
When Yuta told him the name of the enemy he fought, Tatsuko, Koichi recalled it from the bingo book, she was a veteran Chunin back in the end of the third shinobi war, and now she can be considered a Jonin, even if barely. The fact that Yuta was able to kill her and survive is already a miracle in the Koichi’s mind, Tatsuko is a league above Yuta…
The other Chunin were chased Hikari, and she was able to kill him without getting even a scratch. This raised even more questions in Koichi’s mind. The situation with Yuta was understandable, as he used an advanced Fuinjutsu trap, and his enemy was underestimating Yuta and was successfully trapped inside the barrier.
But situation with Hikari is different, she was able to kill her enemy in close combat. If what Koichi understands about the situation, Hikari’s opponent was on the similar level as Yuta’s opponent, and with those circumstances Koichi would bet on Hikari would being killed there, but she was not only won the fight but didn’t get even a scratch, and the battle scene shows that the fight was not lasted for long…

At this point Koichi tends to believe that Yuta was just lucky, but Hikari might hide something, as her capabilities was not enough to win that fight without even being slightly injured.
But this much was not enough for Koichi to report his suspicions directly to Hiruzen, he decided to report this mission events instead, and let Hiruzen decide if there is something or not.
Four hours later Yuta woke up. He checked his surroundings and saw that everyone was patiently waiting for him, seating not far away. Yuta moved his right shoulder a little and thought, ‘Good, pain has subsided a lot and I feel much better than before.’
“How are you?” Itachi asked worriedly.
“I’m fine” Yuta replied calmly, grabbing a ration bar, and started to eat, he looked again at his team and realized that all of them looked dejected, even Koichi, who rarely showed any emotions at all, now looked gloomy.
‘Damned, I don’t like this gloomy vibe at all. It’s me who lost an arm and it’s my fault at that, it happened because I wasn’t good enough. But It’s not a big deal, I don’t really care at all, and I definitely don’t need anyone’s pity!’
“Hey guys” Yuta exclaimed after quickly finishing a ration bar, “I’m fine, really! Why are you so upset? It’s not like I died or something. Living with one arm will be inconvenient but it’s not like it’s a big deal. I was never good at close combat, my specialty is Fuinjutsu and Genjutsu, and one arm is enough to perform those well. Now I have to learn how to perform ninjutsu with only one hand, but this is doable, right?”
“Sight, right” Koichi said snapping out of his thoughts, he saw that Yuta don’t need any pity or special treatment from them, so he decided to act as everything is fine, “Are you ready to go?”
“Yes” Yuta replied after briefly checking his clothes and stuff.
“Then we are going back to the village now” Koichi said.
The team went back to the village and arrived in the afternoon of the third day. After Yuta collected a bunch of pitiful looks at the village gates, not that he really cared about it, Koichi freed Itachi and Hikari and brought Yuta to the hospital, then he left to make a mission report.
At the hospital Yuta’s injury was properly checked and taken care of by some medical-nin. When medical-nin used Iryojutsu on him, Yuta was very curious and used all his sensory skills to observe the process, he felt how foreign chakra was infused in his shoulder and then it stimulated the tissues around his injury to speed up the healing process.
A few hours later Yuta was discharged from the hospital and went home. After taking a shower and changing his clothes he went to buy some groceries, he spent a lot of money on good stuff. Yuta had to time-travel eventually to get his arm back, so it’s no point in saving money at the time being.
While being back home and cooking, Yuta thought, ‘It’s so inconvenient to do everything with only one hand… I have to learn how to create shadow clones with only one hand as soon as possible! Wait a minute, my shadow clones will also have only one hand! Then if I create two of them, it will be a one complete set of arms, right?
Sigh, what I even thinking here… No, wait a minute… Aren’t I forgetting something? If I can create a shadow clones with arms, why I can’t just create a right arm for myself, there is a perfect jutsu for that kind of stuff already!’
Making this groundbreaking discovery, Yuta immediately performed a transformation jutsu, altering only one thing in his appearance, and that is – the re-creating his right arm back. And just like that, with a small puff of smoke, his lost right arm appeared again in its place.
Yuta looked surprised at his right arm and tried to move it, and it just works as it should...
‘Wow, even something like that is possible, it feels just as the real arm, let’s try hand seals now!’
With that thought Yuta performed the Shadow Clone jutsu, but it failed.
‘As I thought, transformation technique can change form, but it can’t recreate a chakra system in my lost arm that is needed to perform hand seals…’
Yuta clenched his right fist while thinking, ‘Well, knowing all the properties of an object that I try to emulate is crucial for the transformation technique, and I know my arm well. Maybe if I study the chakra circulation system, I can try to re-create it too with the transformation technique? But that is just a random thought, I’m not going to do that just for recreating my arm with transformation technique.
Seems like the jutsu is not consuming much chakra to maintain it, my natural chakra regeneration should cover this expense, it will be a good training to maintain it all the time, at least while my chakra reserve is full.’
