*** Elias...  I watch her, steady on her knee, fingers softly gripping the arrow to the string of the bow. She draws a slow breath and lets go. I nearly gasp when I turn to see the wolf drop to the ground.   I turn back with a bewildered scoff as she finally opens her eyes, lids hanging lazily, disinterestedly, like she hadn't just killed a beast from half a mile away with her eyes closed.  Those strange eyes of opaque grey, filling the entirety of her irises, masking even over her pupils. Those eyes that are both frightening and fascinating. I nearly flinch when she turns directly towards me. "Quit staring and go get it."
