A boy who seems to have a few powers normal people don't have. He is somewhat naive, but has many friends, easily made and not so easily lost. He is an orphan, travelling around for reasons unknown. He saves those in danger and fights monsters, gains a slime creature companion, it looks like it has the shape of an Eevee, somewhat. Goes into an elevator, thankfully a big one, that moves forever in some sort of spatial warp in an endless loop to train or to get rid of the countless amount of beings stored in a friend's body. He makes friends with some of the beings and the slime companion swallows the small evil ones. The slime looks pretty cute actually. As he goes, he gathers human companions and awakens the powers slumbering within them. He has no idea he is the one doing it though. The boy's adventures and his powers reaches the ears of a certain old woman who is the oracle of a president in a large and mysterious company.
The old woman is in the middle of sewing up an old large cut on her face. She is blind and does not have the best of memories, but has stored her memories in her sense of touch. She touches her familiar coat and remembers how to sew it up. In a view of her mind, she listens to the orders of a younger version of herself, still old, but clearly not as old as she is now. The young mental her seems to be a reflection of how she was years ago. The impression I got of her was an evil scheming bitch who would do anything to get what she wanted. The news of the boy reaches her ears.
Now in the company she is in, she has a very high position, somewhere near the very top. The company is a very large one; it is involved in almost every part of an ordinary person's life, seemingly a good and normal company. However, much of what it actually does is clouded in secrets. The president is never seen while the oracle, the old lady, who contacts him is always around. Certain employees have powers, most likely given to them by the company or found and reqruited while very young. For some, the company is all they know. They take care of anything that hinders the company, as ordered. There are almost no incidents where people not in the company are able to show as much power as the boy, who is untrained but able to somewhat control his powers.
When the oracle hears the story, she starts reminiscing. Years ago, one employee had a newborn child. He was a gifted employee, one of the strongest. However, he wanted to leave the company with the child, but nobody with powers was allowed to leave the company, and especially not with a child who showed so much promise. He was placed into captivity in a hidden base, but he broke out with the child. The old woman was there at the time visiting to make sure everything was running very smoothly.
The man broke out to the surface, a rainy muddy place. He ran a distance away before finally placing the child down into a clump of grass, hiding him. The man then ran away, towards where he knew the pursuers would look. The old woman ordered all of the personnel to capture the escapee, but to kill him when necessary. The man uses one of his powers, invisibility, to close in on the people. He runs out of mana(?) and reveals himself. Jumpy personnel start shooting wildly. By the time they stop, the man is dead. The old woman is furious, but orders them to search for the child. He is never found, but the woman consoles herself by reasoning that if the baby was out there, it would never survive on its own for long. Moreover, it would never know the eventts that happened and could not use its powers effectively, if ever.
Done with the memory, the old oracle concludes that the boy should be the lost child, going by the amount of powers he has. She is determined to either recover him or kill him.

Another flashback. The old woman, searching for something, hired some miners to dig in a marshy area. I recognize the area; it is now a dreadful place filled with wandering infected and fissures that vent out dangerous gas. This must be before it turned bad. The water is anklehigh, but several people are digging. Two of them strike something. One turns out to be a fissure filled with terrible gas, one that instantly enveloped the miner he gives shouts of pain that almost too quickly stops. Most of the other miners flee. The water drains into the fissure, and a ruins entrance rises up and opens itself. This is what the other miner struck.
The gas parts to reveal an infected miner who proceeds straight to a nearby friend and rips him apart. Each time he kills, he seems to grow bigger. This time the miners start fleeing in earnest. The other miner does not flee since a girl he is determined to protect is nearby. Seeing that they cannot outrun the infected, he urges her into the ruin and stand at the entrance with his tool. She scrambles inside. The miner boy slams shut the entrance, but that is eventually torn open by the infected. They both retreat continuously, repeating the same steps, when they finally reach a half open door. It is open just enough that they could squeeze inside, but the infected is also close enough that one of them would have to stay behind to hold him back. The miner boy shoves the girl do the door and clashes with the infected. She goes through and cries on the other side, knowing that the boy will die. Fate of girl is unknown, may be important for the dream to show.
The old woman sets out with 4 other people.Unknown whether or not this is a flashback. One is a driver, he has masterful control over the car. As planned, he "loses control" over the car and it goes all over the road. Near the destination, I saw him widen his eyes in a sort of panic as he does lose control due to something on the road. Real or not, the car crash served its purpose, we were allowed to stay in the nearby town for the old woman to heal and rest.
One of our members seems to have flown out in the crash. This worries me, a male veteran of the company, for we are on the cliffs near the sea. The newbie, painfully naive, wants to search for him, but I order him to stand down. I didn't want my friend to die due to a mistake of a newbie. If he is injured and the newbie brings him back like that, my friend will eventually be disposed of. Useless people have no place in the company, even if it's for a short while. This is how we with powers are treated. This is why I learned to keep as much of my powers hidden from the company and the old lady.
I can't stop worrying. As soon as I am able to, I slip out to where I think my companion landed. There is a ship near the area, and I go towards it, knowing that if he survived, he would have gotten on it. There are wires nearby connecting to the ship. We should not be in this area, and so I have to be careful not to be seen. I use my power to jump using the wires to the ship, where I find my friend. He is currently a waterlogged animal, looking like an Eevee creature, curled up tight in pain. I worry, and I heal him. I take him with me off the ship carefully, but the damn newbie had to come at this moment. He is naive and loud, drawing attention, so I have my friend go on ahead as an animal while I let myself drop into the water below. The naive newbie freaks out and dives in after me. I swim to a safe house as he struggles to follow.
At the safe house, my friend just finished washing up. He is more or less alright, so I felt relieved. Behind me, the newbie comes up spluttering. The woman living in the safehouse looks at us and asks if that was all of us. After comfirming, she plunges the room in a cleansing steam that also undos any power being used. Once the steam is gone, the male veteran notices a stain on his left shoulder. The only place that touched that shoulder today was the bookcase he leaned on in the safehouse. All feeling curious, they tinker with it to reveal a hidden cache of record books. Reading through it, the books appear to be records of the company. The record revealed all of the dirty secrets, the evil and corruption that had spread through the company. As the dream ended, I felt as if the people in that room wanted to leave the company starting from that point.
