After a sudden death, the Mushroom God selects David as his apostle and champion in a divine war that has consumed another world for centuries.  Unfortunately for David, he is immediately captured by enemy forces. But plans are in place, and the Mushroom God has prepared a number of contingencies for these circumstances. As David will quickly learn, this world's warfare is just as insidious as Earth's.
