Set in a future where humans are extinct, a hybrid race emerges from the ashes of a war four centuries old.  These are a blend of human and an alien species called the Atra.  These humatrans have inherited what remains of the decimated planet Earth.  The abilities they’ve been born with have the potential of saving the future or condemning it. On the run from his own father, Sarafyn, young Jason Jacobi must come to terms with his fate as the firstborn of prophecy.  A seemingly unplanned fellowship is pieced together from the remnants of society, sworn to safely escort Jason to Durham, Oklahoma, where his father was born three centuries earlier. Sarafyn’s memories of his youth reveal how his innocence was warped by an alien bent on becoming a god.  Yet perhaps, such protection is needed.  As humatrans are crawling from the womb, humanity slowly recognizes the threat they represent and vows to wipe them off the face of the planet . . . by any means necessary.
