There was once a living world, a world where the planet itself was the mother goddess. Her children were the gods and bringers of life...and destruction. Driven to war by their greed, envy and need for worship the gods brought great destruction to all beings on the surface of the planet. Eventually in order to save herself and the many races living on her surface the mother goddess destroyed all the gods, their godly essence was scattered over the entire surface of the planet and she herself entered hibernation in order to recover. The surface was closed and life survived only below ground in special caverns created by the Goddess for her chosen peoples. For hundreds of years our people have lived here...in isolation...but no more! A change is coming, the caverns have opened, new life is blooming. I have received a vision, we must go forth and populate the surface! Take back what is rightfully ours! We will face other tribes, other peoples as well as twisted abominations born from the ashes of the old world...but fear not, the goddess has made known to me that for the chosen few help awaits...divinity cannot be denied and the gods are to be reborn...let our path to divinity open once more!
