In the peaceful land of Omikor, people have lost their belief in their God, who they believe has abandoned them, sparking religious conflict across the land, all the while strange things begin to happen around the world. Maledor, a conniving spy, catches wind of a plot surrounding an ancient artifact. Mikne, a holy warrior gone rogue after the collapse of her order, tries to find purpose and will, as she grieves her lost brother. These two people, seemingly stranger to one another, will become wound up in a course of events that change the course of their lives.
