Synopsis
The afterlife is a city of waiting - Morantis - where all souls live until they reincarnate. It is a city of inversion, it delves deeper into the plane on which it exists, and most of the lower levels are unexplored, and dangerous. But within this city, hidden in its lowest level, is the power of creation, the promise of godhood and all-power. Armed with dull gold weapons made of Ganbrass, souls battle for the chance of godhood, but on the highest stakes they will ever experience: dying in Morantis ends their cycle of reincarnation forever. It is with everything to gain, and everything to lose, that the many species of the Milky Way fight in Morantis for omnipotence.
Within this city, four particular people live exciting lives of their own in the highest, outermost, level of the city, Pardoba. Xander, an Anmoran con-artist seeking to gain more influence within the upper class aristocracy of Morantis. Dalena, a thug for hire for a less than trustworthy mysterious mob boss named Maghir. Korill, an axolotyl-like Yost, lost in the streets of Morantis with no memory of his former lives. And lastly, Reston, a human, who finally tastes freedom after years in prison for his mere existence, something he scarcely understands.
