Anybody would want to go to a different world.  It's an old story, but a classic one; the hopeless kid, the one who couldn't help but fail at life, given a chance to live their dreams a second time, but with magic included!  In a hopeless place, a spot where one can't hope to recover, they would surely wish for another chance.   A storm comes through the life of a boy with no wishes and no desires.  In the end, he might not want to leave, but he will.  Because he needs it.  And because if he doesn't step up, then everything's going to be eaten by a big angry god.   [Participant in the Royal Road writathon challenge] [...And as it is real rushed writathon stuff, this may not be the best story you've ever read.  After December 5, I'll probably go back and revise some of this.  As it is, though,  I won't ever release a chapter I wouldn't enjoy reading.]
