Synopsis
Kiara finds out that she is the last blood relative of her ancestor Cora. She must claim her family Land and help those who are dependent on the forest that grows there. The roots of the trees are imbued with a magic that can be distilled into a delicious beverage, Monster Mash. For regular humans, the Mash provides a hangover-free, slightly rejuvenating alcoholic effect. For the magical descendants of Cora's contemporaries, the Mash provides a way to balance magic and mundane. And, without some way to prune the roots, the forest would grow out of control, taking over the area around it and beyond. Using caves that were excavated during her ancestor's time, Kiara and her new-found allies must find a way to maintain the forest while helping those struggling with Kiara's arrival and the impact it has on the Land. As her cousin David put's it, "We can't have forest meth faeries running around East Texas!".
