One normal day, the earth shook, and blue portal-like gates formed, causing monsters and mana to flood the earth loke a raging river. After a week, the earths' population was reduced by a tenth, and 'awakened' people with powers both weak and strong appeared, able to grow with an anomaly called the status window. 'Hunters', as the awakened were called, fought back, and after ten years managed to eradicate all of the monsters outside of the gates. However, after the 10 years of pushing back the monsters, and a few years of hunting in the gates, another catastophe happened. The previous blue portals completely disappeared, and in their place, purple gates formed. The hunters took the on the priority, and went into the gates before they exploded. No one came back, and the hunters that were left were overwhelmed by monsters far stronger than before. Kim Min-Soo, a 18 year old, and one of the first hunters to awaken, is our main character. After he went into one of the purple portals, he saw things inexplicably terrifying. Even the weakest of the monsters were stronger than the strongest monsters of the blue gates. After dying a swift, meaningless death in the purple gate, he found himself 13 years in the past, a week before the gates appeared. Then, something arose in him, helping him attain strength faster and stronger than anyone else, a 'SYSTEM'.
