Synopsis
A young, genius Alchemist, the last scion of a fallen noble family. For years he struggled to rebuild his House through effort and talent, but at every turn he was blocked by those more powerful than him that wanted nothing more than to see his line wilt and die off. Until, finally, it all came to an end.
His friends and family all dead, all he can do is look up into the eyes of his hateful attacker. And for a few moments, he feels spiteful glee. At the very least, he had foiled his enemy's greatest ambition. But the satisfaction turns to ash, blackened and burned by the bitterness inside of his heart, until at last he's killed. In his dying moments, the only thing he can think is 'if only I could go back. If only I could stop this from happening.'
And then, he hears the jangling of coin, the soothing clatter of precious, polished metals rubbing against one another. He turns, to see a golden figure sitting upon a gilded throne, coins cascading around them.
"Let's make a deal."
