The Tornetum is an annual event on Aallandranon that brings together all cultures and societies within the kingdom of Parceta. The twisted sorcerer, Chancellor Damius Marks, foresees a sudden upheaval within the kingdom, only for the seeds of this unexpected future to begin appearing in the crowd of the Tornetum. How could a simple monk lead to the whole unraveling of Marks's 3,000 year reign? The monk girl, known only as Susi, must die by the end of the Tornetum. No effort can be spared in accomplishing this goal. But such is the nature of destiny. Resistance to its force seems only to bring about the outcome faster.
