The watch begins. In a world both like and unlike ours, there is a country called Merridel, a vast land filled with vibrance and life. This land has seen many hundreds upon hundreds of years pass, and for the last five of these centuries, its six regions of Runestone, Nidahn, Lothern, Middenland, Mûlona and Arden have stood together as one nation. This is the story of how six came to be one, forged by shadows and Dragonfire, and how they struggled to remain so in their storied history.
