Hyos had a new life forcefully thrust upon her, after a paramilitary agency took her as a prisoner and unceremoniously threw her through an interdimensional portal - not that she remembers any of it. None of those who find themselves falling from the sky into Zenobia do.  You just make the best of what you're given: you choose a name, learn a trade at the Hospital, and then you're off to a wonderful land of mana-powered machinery, cannibal technotribes, hip coffee shops and metaphysical nuclear disasters, often within an arm's reach of each other.  But what if destiny had a different plan for you? what if your past managed to follow you, even through an interdimensional jump and a full memory wipe? Hyos has friends and enemies in high and low places, and it's up to her to show what she's made of. Good thing putting asshats in their place comes natural to her.
