Synopsis

Born as a tool for others, never to have her future in her hands—such was the destiny that Aliyah had been dealt with. Or at least, that’s what she thought. Until that day, her only choice had been to walk a path ridiculed by others, one without a happy ending. A path where only her stubbornness and pride allowed her to keep an hold onto what little made her look forward to the future. Untalented, born without a Gift, her path to power had been severed from the beginning. She was nothing but a mere Mortal, born from the blood of a distant god-like being. A complete waste of her father's bloodline—that’s who Aliyah was, with some even doubting her late mother’s faithfulness toward her husband… As for that father himself? He hadn’t spared her a glance in years. Before, she dared not think differently, afraid of drowning in her own misery, only managing to fight back to preserve her dignity rather than working toward a different future… But things are never set in stone. Awakenings come and go on their own accord. The mysteries of the mind, their connection to an individual Spirit and the powers above… Perhaps not even those so called “Gods” have what it takes to unveil those secrets. But there’s one thing that all of them know: Throughout history, no one who has walked their path has ever been ordinary! What to Expect: - Weak to strong... and even stronger. - An atypical power system, primarily inspired by Eastern culture. - A strong focus on character introspection and growth. - Exploration of all shades of morality. - Fighting scenes given equal importance and relevance as the two points above. - An unreliable narrator (deliberately so). - Not all sunshine and rainbows (like, at all). - A bit of a slow start (give me some faith there...). - Subtle LitRPG elements (very minimal, no level-ups or other heavy game-like mechanics) Crossposting on Scribble Hub!
