A soldier, a spirit, and a healer are brought together by tragedy. They seek vengeance in a turbulent borderland haunted by violence. Ambitions: -Low-stakes episodic adventure -A fantasy setting that doesn't overly rely on cultural ciphers, real-world folklore, or modern ideas -Tender, affectionate romance-An affectingly surreal atmosphere Content Warning+notes: This story contains references to physical and emotional abuse, misogyny, animal cruelty, suicide, and bereavement. It includes graphic depictions of death, grievous injury, and mutilation.  Parts of this, particularly the protagonists, the first story's narrative structure, and some overarching themes were heavily based on those of a manga/anime called Claymore.  The work is filled with nonstandard and inconsistent spelling, grammatical quirks, and odd language, most of which is included deliberately. I rework already posted bits and retcon often.
