On an unassuming Christmas Eve of the year 2030, Earth reached an invisible threshold and Awakened. All over the planet, Portals to other worlds and Dungeons full of monsters appeared. Humans started to Awaken as well, gaining access to a game-like interface—only those with high enough Levels could protect common citizens from the dangers of New Earth. It's not their story, though.  In a fantasy world parallel to our, Melus Ar'Sellios—an absurdly handsome half-elf bard—finds himself in quite a pinch. Falsely accused for a silly reason, he's sentenced to become a Dungeon Keeper on a newly-Awakened planet. Having your Soul connected to a Dungeon Core sounds good on paper, but in fact, it places you just one step away from a fate worse than death.  Frustrated by such unfair treatment, Melus decides that rules are made to be broken. Instead of fighting against earthlings, he chooses to help them overcome the odds that aren't in their favor. He'll adjust his Dungeon to create a perfect training ground. Adding BGM to each zone and making his minions dance should attract more visitors. Teaching humans some magic tricks shouldn't be that hard, either. In the meantime, he'll enjoy their culture—their music first and foremost. All these genres—rock, pop, techno, house, classic, blues, to name a few—sound like so much fun. Perhaps being sent to Earth wasn't such a bad thing, after all.
