Across war-torn remnants of the Eastern Roman Empire, the Balkan Peninsula is rife with battles. A desolate, rogue warrior chases them, driven by the need to escape his dark past and the horrors of trauma that torment him, as well as mysterious visions of the past and future that invade his dreams. He struggles to find his place in a world, divided between the savage life of a wandering mercenary and the expectations of civilized society.  This story includes depictions of both real-life and fictional wars and historical figures, PTSD, trauma, grief, as well as exploring feelings of hatred, longing, inner turmoil, and love. WARNING: SPOILERS. This is part two of my 'Eastern Chronicles' series, so make sure you read 'Twin Flames' first, however its not entirely necessary for comprehension.
