Synopsis
Riley wasn't exactly the type who stuck out in a crowd. Rather, he seemed the exact type who'd make up the faceless crowds of people aboard his home in Titan Station. But fate had other plans entirely for the young and otherwise unprepared son of Jupiter.
A death in the family, a forced conscription and one painfully long flight later, the boy who spent his life watching the stars fly him by now must join them. The military academy of Mars, the War Station and a few too many mechanical hearts to bear, that's the life awaiting our intrepid pilot.
Oh, and a first gen mech from first contact days.
Lore: The spread of humankind across the solar system since the 2020s has lead to massive booms in every sector, a new fire of space exploration and conquering the cosmos leading not to nations, but to corporations taking the charge. National pride is now replaced with Station pride, and the inspiration provided by Outer tech has lead to the creation of the main army of the Star Consortium, Mechs, pilots and Starships.
For a planet like Jupiter, defense was a vital part of life. All of the planet and its moons were goldmines for the Star Consortium, the war machine defending Solar peace in 2090. Every planet had its duties, every station its quotas to fill for human survival and the light of a new system to be within reach. But with the advent of the Outer war and later on the fall of Station Horizon, The need for pilots had been made even more dire.
