Charles McKnight was a failure. Try as he might, he could not succeed, no matter how hard he tried. A master's in robotics brought him nothing after leaving the field to take care of his poor, sick mother. Now, 20 years later, he was stuck in a dead-end job in an auto repair shop doing work for his alcoholic cousin. Of course, he still dreamed of robots. He dreamed of them every night. He dreamed of them every day. He even dreamed of them when he was suddenly smashed by a blue 2002 Honda Accord underneath a failed lift in his cousin's garage. He didn't even know he died. He only found out he was dead when the lady in front of him told him so. Of course, he was told many other things as well. Some of those included statements such as "You are a chosen one!" and "You must save this world from the coming tribulations!" or even "I will grant you one power in this new world!". Of course, only one thing stuck, or, for that matter, even mattered to him at all. He calmly told her, "I want to make robots."
