But first, she learns that the world is not as safe as she once thought and she will have to make a choice that could change her life forever. This is a stand-alone story that takes place in the world of my much larger set of novels I'm working on. I love this little tale, but it does not fit well into the greater narrative, so I decided to share it here for all of you to enjoy.
