Magic is often believed to be an unexplainable phenomenon, but in reality, it couldn't be further from the truth. It functions through logic and is a science. Through these processes it allows a person to perform incredible feats. Vrill, our main character is a commoner and lives in a small town on the outskirts of the Proe kingdom. In society, magicians stand proudly at the top. Someone like him had no value to him as a mortal and was at their mercy to survive. This taught him to be discreet and scheming at all times. He had grown up mostly alone and had learned much from it being much more mature than most his age. Becoming a mage is incredibly difficult due to the vast amount of resources one has to invest as well as the needed talent requirement. Yet Vrill tries hard to become one. After all, power is the only way to survive in this world and it doesn't matter what he has to do to achieve this vision.
