Supreme Ancient elemental technique - Origin Elemental technique
Red city is a city at the border of the empire and Vermont. The empire of Arcadia is a massive empire on the continent of Ragnor. The continent of Ragnor has three superpowers, the Empire of Arcadia, The Empire of Orion, and The Elven Empire. The Empire of Arcadia is known for its green fertile land, while Orion is known for its ore production. The Elven empire has demihumans from all over the continent, with the elves ruling them. Elves are known for their superior aptitude for magic and long life spans. The royal elven family is called the Oberon family and they have some of the strongest mages on the continent.
One hundred years ago, a war broke out between Arcadia and Orion. Both sides wanted to take over each other's land. Although no one won the war and they called a truce with no border adjustments there have been small border skirmishes over time. Recently there have been more skirmishes between the two superpowers.
One hundred thousand years ago the continent of Ragnor was much larger than it is today. Legend has it that a battle between stage nine beings destroyed pieces of the continent and they sank into the Eternal sea. The Eternal sea surrounds the continent, nobody knows where the Eternal sea ends or if there even is an end.
After pieces of the continent broke off the mana became thin. Both mages and knights rely on mana to cultivate. Knights rely on mana to strengthen the body and mages circulate the mana in their bodies and store it in their hearts. Each mage has a different element so they absorb different elemental mana from the air. Using the elemental mana they can release spells based on their element. As a result of the thin mana in the air, nobody has managed to break through the Seventh stage in over fifty thousand years.
Red city was controlled by Baron Benson and he was a Stage 4 Sky Knight. Sky knights can store the mana in their bodies to use it to reinforce their attacks. That is why only Sky knights are called true Knights. Baron Benson is the son of Viscount Benson, Red city was part of the Viscount's territory so he gave it to his son and named him a baron. It is a remote city but it is a farm city so it is necessary and makes a lot of money for the baron.
Stolen story; please report.
Randy just arrived at the city after a long 2-week journey from Vermont. On their journey, they fought a lot of monsters but none of them were stronger than stage 1 so they got rid of them after a quick fight.
"HALT!" After Randy and the convoy arrived at the city they were met with a towering city gate and a guard collecting entrance fees. "The fee is one silver per wagon"
Hearing this Randy frowned, "Last time I was here the fee was 50 copper per wagon."
"I said the fee is one silver per wagon which means it is one silver! Is there a problem? Are you perhaps trying to smuggle weapons?" You need permission from the imperial court to trade weapons and if caught smuggling weapons you will be sentenced to jail and heavily fined.
"No Sir, we just came into the city to buy supplies. Here are three silver coins for the entrance fee and a little something for you too." Randy didn't want to cause any problems as he had a mission to complete so he paid the entrance fee and bribed the guard so he doesn't cause any more problems.
"Sensible, you may pass."
Usually, big cities have an entrance pass that they give out at the entrance for identification but since Red city is a remote city they had no entrance passes.
The living situation in Red city was not much better than in Vermont. The baron took all the food from the citizens and left them with the bare minimum. This was not a rare sight in the empire, so it came as no surprise for randy and the convoy.
There were many merchants in Red City, since Red city is a farming town they buy the grain here at a cheap price and resell them to cities for profit.
There were also many vendors out in the street selling foodstuff and miscellaneous items.
"A Stage 8 Dragon tooth for only 20 silver coins!" An old man shouted to advertise his product
"Woah a real dragon tooth," A kid excitedly looking at the tooth that the old man was selling
"Kid don't be gullible dragons are extinct and nobody has ever seen a Stage 8 beast before, even if it was real, no sane person would sell it for 20 silver, this old man is a scammer." A mercenary walked out of the crowd and said while laughing.
"You!!! Don't listen to him kid it's real I guarantee it." The old man tried to defend himself but the kid wasn't interested anymore after hearing it was fake.
Seeing this randy and the guards laughed. Scammers are common out in the streets, some gullible people will actually fall for them and buy them.
They then proceeded to find an inn to stay in and rest for the night. The next morning they would go out to buy supplies.
"Hello, Sir, seeing as you have a big group would you like to rent a courtyard for 50 copper a night? We can also store your wagons for 5 copper coins a night." A ginger girl that looked to be around 16 greeted them as they entered the inn.
"A courtyard for three days and also store our wagons for three days," Randy said as he handed One silver and Sixty Five copper over. "Do you serve food and drinks here?"
"Yes, Sir we have a combo meal it comes with wolf meat, and ale for only 3 copper." After hearing this Randy ordered the combo meal for everyone.
After eating everyone went to the courtyard to rest after a long journey.
