Magic Card Ethan Collins is a student at the Faculty of Design & Illustration at Westbridge University. He has a girlfriend, Samantha ‘Sam’ Brooks, but there is also a secret admirer of Ethan—Chloe Evans. Ethan, a simple man, eventually loses Sam to someone else: Tyler Mitchell, a wealthy student who also attends the same university. Heartbroken after being left by Sam, Ethan isolates himself on a hilltop. There, he accidentally discovers a mysterious card encased inside a crystal lodged within a rock. To his surprise, the card has the power to make payments and withdraw cash. Ethan seizes this opportunity to change his fortune and prove himself to those who have looked down on him. However, Ethan soon learns that the magic card draws funds from random bank accounts belonging to other people. Before long, he becomes a wanted man, pursued by the FBI. Ethan has a mother, Martha Collins, and a younger brother, Dylan, who is suffering from brain cancer. Desperate to save Dylan, Ethan continues using the card, even though he knows the risk: the FBI now knows his identity, and the net is closing in on him.
