Dr. Alexander Sohner is a very bright scientist and adventurer, with contacts throughout many fields and universities, but when his wife was killed and he was paralyzed in a horrific accident, his career and personal life spiraled downhill. His friends, colleagues and his in-laws are all desperate to return the healthy, happy, vibrant man he was back to the world. When rumors come out about a secret paradise world, his friends leap at the chance to try to get him in to the research team.
