The finals of Go4LoL. Alan’s team, Green Tipped Bananas, was about to face the most intimidating squad in the tournament: Team SoloMid. Even in 2010, before their dominance on the professional stage, TSM’s roster was legendary in the making. Alan sat at his station, staring at the player list in the lobby.
Balls:
“Dude, it’s Reginald mid. Freaking Reginald.”
Travis:
“And Chaox in bot lane. Locodoco’s his support. We’re about to get dumpstered, aren’t we?”
Alan smirked but said nothing. He knew these names well. In his original timeline, these players would become pillars of North American League of Legends, shaping the competitive scene for years to come.
Reginald, the fiery mid-laner who would go on to own TSM, was known for his relentless aggression and sharp shot-calling. His playstyle demanded attention, forcing teams to respond to his constant pressure.
TheOddOne, TSM’s jungler, was a cerebral tactician. Nicknamed “The General” in the future, he orchestrated his team with calm precision, always a step ahead of his opponents.
In the bot lane, Chaox and Locodoco were a deadly duo. Chaox’s mechanics were exceptional, and Locodoco’s creativity and unpredictability often set up game-winning plays.
“This isn’t going to be easy,” Alan muttered. His system pulsed faintly, almost in agreement.

Game One
Alan hovered over Kassadin in the draft, his cursor lingering. It was his comfort pick, the champion that had carried him through the semifinals. He locked it in, confident he could scale into the late game. But TSM wasn’t going to make it easy.
Reginald responded with Ezreal mid, an unconventional but aggressive pick. Paired with TheOddOne’s Cho’Gath jungler, it was clear TSM’s strategy was to dominate the solo lanes through relentless pressure.
Locked In: Kassadin
Opponent: Ezreal
The game began, and Reginald wasted no time asserting his presence. Ezreal’s high mobility and poke made laning a nightmare for Kassadin. Every Mystic Shot whittled Alan’s health, and Cho’Gath’s early jungle presence added constant pressure.
At 6 minutes, the first big play unfolded. Cho’Gath appeared mid, flashing forward with Rupture to knock Alan into the air. Ezreal followed up, firing a Mystic Shot into Kassadin’s retreating form. Alan barely escaped under his turret, forced to burn both Flash and Teleport to stay in the game.
Balls:
“Mid’s getting camped hard. Need help?”
Alan:
“No, just give me time. Play around bot.”
But TSM had other plans. At 10 minutes, Reginald rotated to bot lane, catching Travis and their support trying to recall too far up in the lane with a perfectly timed Trueshot Barrage. Chaox’s Ashe followed up with an Enchanted Crystal Arrow. Alan's bot laners were mowed down granting a kill for each of TSM's carries.

Travis:
“They’re everywhere! How’s he even mid AND bot?”
By mid-game, TSM’s momentum was suffocating. TheOddOne used Cho’Gath’s crowd control to control objectives, while Reginald kept Alan pinned in mid. Even when Alan hit level 11 and gained some mobility, Ezreal’s poke and mobility continued to outmatch him. Every fight felt like a scramble, TSM dictating the pace.
At 23 minutes, TSM baited a fight at Dragon. Cho’Gath’s Feast secured the objective, and Reginald unleashed a Trueshot Barrage that decimated Green Tipped Bananas’ backline. Chaox followed up with another Enchanted Crystal Arrow, sniping Alan before he could Riftwalk away.
Ace.
TSM marched down mid and took the Nexus in dominant fashion.
Defeat.
Alan leaned back, frustrated but composed. His score—2/5/3—was below his standards, but the problem wasn’t just him. Reginald’s aggressive Ezreal and TheOddOne’s coordinated ganks had dismantled them.
Balls:
“They’re playing like a machine. We need to shake them up.”
Travis:
“Regi’s Ezreal is disgusting. What do we do next?”
Alan stared at the screen, his mind racing. Reginald wasn’t just a great player—he was everywhere. Alan had to adapt, or the series would end in the next game.

Game Two
Alan hovered over Kassadin again but hesitated. Reginald’s Ezreal had proven too oppressive. He needed something to shut down TSM’s roaming and punish their aggression. His cursor shifted to Morgana.
With her Black Shield to protect against crowd control and Dark Binding to lock down mobile targets, Morgana could control fights and provide utility. Alan locked her in.
Locked In: Morgana
Opponent: Annie
Reginald’s pick of Annie signaled a shift in strategy. Annie’s burst damage and crowd control made her a high-risk, high-reward champion, perfect for TSM’s aggressive style. With Nunu in the jungle, TSM clearly planned to buff up Chaox’s Ashe and protect him in fights.
The game began, and the tension was immediate. Reginald shoved the wave relentlessly, forcing Alan to farm under turret. But Alan matched his aggression, using Tormented Shadow to clear waves and prevent Annie from roaming. Immediately the matchup felt much better for Alan.
At 8 minutes, Reginald and TheOddOne set their sights on top lane. Annie flashed forward, landing a devastating Summon: Tibbers on Balls under turret. But Alan was ready. He teleported to top lane, landing a clutch Dark Binding on Annie. Balls followed up with Unstoppable Force, and the play turned into a 2-for-1 in Green Tipped Bananas’ favor.
Balls:
“Huge TP, Alan! Let’s go!”
The mid-game was a back-and-forth brawl. Nunu’s Blood Boil empowered Chaox’s Ashe, who landed pinpoint Enchanted Crystal Arrows to initiate fights. Alan countered by shielding key targets with Black Shield, neutralizing Annie’s stuns.
At 22 minutes, the game reached a boiling point. Both teams danced around Baron, posturing for an opening. Locodoco overstepped while warding, and Alan seized the moment, landing a Dark Binding that secured the pick. Balls’s Malphite followed up with a devastating ultimate, and Green Tipped Bananas wiped three members of TSM.
Travis:
“We’ve got Baron! Push mid!”
Alan kept his voice steady. “Play it slow. Don’t overextend.”
With Baron buff, Green Tipped Bananas methodically dismantled TSM’s base, taking two inhibitors. The final fight erupted in TSM’s Nexus turrets, and Alan’s Soul Shackles zoned Chaox and TheOddOne, leaving TSM vulnerable.
Victory.
Alan exhaled deeply, his score—3/2/11—reflecting his role as a stabilizing force. This wasn’t the flashiest game, but his utility had been invaluable in shutting down TSM’s momentum.
Balls:
“We’re back, boys! One more!”
Alan smirked, but his mind was already on the next game. TSM wasn’t going to take this loss lightly, and Reginald would come back even stronger. His system pulsed faintly, delivering a familiar message:
----------------------------------------
Quest Progress: Claim the Crown.
Finals Record: 1-1.

Alan leaned forward, his hands hovering over the keyboard. “One more,” he whispered. “Let’s make it count.”
The café buzzed with anticipation as the final game of the series approached.
