[Please Wake Up Enri, you have a lot of work ahead of you.]
I hear a sweet yet monotone voice as my visions blurs initially from my sleep. As my eyes gain clarity, the first sight to greet me is the cream-colored ceiling, I turn over to my side, greeted by a miniature Hologram looking over me with a blank eyes. Her appearance resembles that of a chibi, Dis-proportionate with a large head and small body. Her standout feature being its royal purple Bob-cut, sharp-yet empty pitch black eyes, and a tuxedo, far too big for her.
[Enri?]
"I'll be up in a moment Eve" sighing as I am still filled in a drowsy state. I turn my body away from Eve and try to catch more sleep before the inevitable.
[Please don't waste anymore time, you will be late to your first class.]
"I get it." a hint of annoyance in my voice. I bury myself further into my cheap-yet soft sheets.
[If your sister would see you in thi-]
"DON'T... go there Eve" I jumped out of the sheets and faced her, a rising indescribable feeling takes ahold of me, I once again want to bury myself in my bedsheets even further more.
[Regardless, you must be up and early for your first week of classes. you wouldn't want to get behind in your first week.]
"I GET IT" I snarled my voice against Eve, She gives no reaction, only that stare she always gives. I reciprocate her stare, and she finally blipped away from where once stood. I turn the sheets over and arose from my bed up in my small apartment. It was my first week moving into the City. I had to transfer to the local academy, and find a cheap apartment (that wasn't sketchy), all within a month. All this moving added more un-welcomed stress. All this added pressure in my already raging storm inside of my stomach. It's feels like its going to explode soon.
I start making my way toward's the bathroom. It can barely be considered a bathroom. The toilet, sink, and bathtub are all nearly touching each other. There is little room for my body to face against the sink, I look at myself through the mirror.
"How is the weather today Eve?"
[Calm, most of the day will be partly cloudy.]
'How great' I thought as I start going over my Morning routine, pouring cold water to my face, washing away the crusted tear streaks from last night. As i'm washing my face, I notice Eve in the mirror looking from the bedroom.
"What?"
[Do you want to talk about last night?]
For once her expressions changed to show a hint of concern, her eyebrows shifting below and her mouth a slight frown. I hesitate in my response. "No" I answered.

"NO" I raised my voice against her, but my next words were the opposite. "Please just...drop it". it seemed enough for her as she stopped relenting, though her look hadn't changed.
"Did anything happen last night?" I asked, wanting to get away from the topic as I dried my face and started to brush my teeth.
[Last night, approximately at 12PM, there was a report of an MANIFEST awakening near the Syndrome Corporation. The Autumn Police Department believes the Suspect to be Kassie Rin, a middle aged salary woman who was last seen exiting the Syndrome building.]
That Peaked my interest, awakenings in retrospect were uncommon for it to happen every month or so. But to hear it so close to where I live gave me a morbid curiosity.
I spit out the toothpaste and inquired further. "Do they know why she awakened?"
[In a press conference about an hour ago, The APG Commissioner Jack Briggs, stated it was due to Mrs. Rin being caught and fired for her infidelity with the manager.]
"They haven't caught her yet?"
[She is still at large, the commissioner has asked for local business's to close until further notice and for citizens to be careful in their daily commute.]
"Doesn't that mean the Academy will close for a little bit?"
[As a response to the recent awakening, The Four-Seasons Academy have doubled their security, and have requested the Church of the Pyre as an additional measure.]
Leaving the bathroom, I walk towards one of the dusty barren cupboards and grabbed a fairly large porcelain bowl, then a box of cereal from another cupboard, and finally a milk jug from my starved fridge. I walk over to my only table in this apartment. It sits right next to a small balcony showing the skyline of September. As I sit down and place my breakfast on the table, Eve appeared on top of the table and observed me for a bit. it seems she is staring at me once again however there is a hint of scrutiny behind her gaze. As if she sees something in me that I don't.
"what? are you judging me for eating something unhealthy?" a irritation in my voice as I look back at her, her gaze filled with evermore scrutiny. She stared at me for a couple seconds, she seemed to have a conclusion and was about to asking when she hesitated.
[Enri, do you...perhaps feel something different inside you?]
I raised my eyebrow as i pondered what she was trying to get at. "No, why?" I asked. Her face displaying a conflicted face as if she seems to want to ask further in detail. However breathed a sigh.
[Nothing, I must be overthinking things.]
"...what?"
[Please disregard my earlier statement.]
I quietly ate my cereal, it didn't taste right, well for me at least. Im sure the city folk have no problem eating it, It didn't quite have the taste like back home. Thinking back to my hometown gave a longing nostalgia even though I moved about a month ago. I visited everyone to announce me moving into the city. Most of them were stoked having someone from the boonies come to the city. Some were giving me tid bits of advice for me to be very careful once in the city, as there's some less than savory people willing to take advantage on a clueless kid from a rural village. There was no question for them as to why I was moving, as they already knew however didn't wish to speak about in-front of me. My parents were the last before I took the bus to the city.
"We... hope this can take time off of what happened Enri."
"As your mother said Enri, We hope that you going to the city, would be able to help you after all that has happened."
I welled up tears as my parents were sending off their goodbyes. It had hurt so much that day, that sending me to the city was the only possible way to recover.
" t-thank you, m-mom and-and dad" I couldn't speak clearly as I was already crying and having small hiccups when I spoke to them.
"Honey, before you leave, we want to give you this. It was for Jain originally however since she is...gone, we wanted you to have it"
My mom uncurled took something from her purse and showed it to me. it was small little chip with pur-
[Enri, you are going to be very late, it wouldn't look good to be late to your very first day, no?]
I awoke from my stupor as I stare face to face to Eve, her abyssal eyes very close to my own. I looked at the clock to confirm Eve's statement. Hastily switched my pajamas to my uniform that was hanging from the bathroom door and grabbed my book-bag next to my bed, I left my apartment in a hurry.
