Synopsis
You can't ever be prepared for nightmares to become real.
The world watches on regularly towards the greatest event known to man, a Royale of Mages all vying to be the single survivor. From children entertainment, to blood brawls, the best of the best is curated for the audience at the expense of its many competitors - heroes and villains rising from the tale to become the worlds next celebrity or hero. All vie for survival, and for the wishes granted upon them by a not-so benevolent force, the face of the Game itself. Hannah Havers is one of the contestants of the latest game, and ill prepared she sets out into a world of magic - where dark gods and corrupted mankind hide in shadows and the faces of her fellow contestants, and none of them know that other worldly forces are at play in a twist on the game that none of them expected. Is Hannah capable of surviving the most devastating game to date, where mankind's very survival hangs in the balance? Or will she be yet another blip in the story of another survivors tale?
Listless Entropy is written by K. Sinclair, a long time lover of webnovels since 2009 - where a questionable Inuyasha fic caught their attention. Since then they've been creating stories non-stop, with this being their first attempt at a serial, and on their sleeve are the heroes that make writing so compelling: Wildbow and his hit story Worm, but more importantly to the context of this one, a story named of Wildbows by the name of Pact, along with the relatively recent Katalepsis, by HY, and the much more recent Nowhere Stars, written by Anemone. Listless Entropy is written from a love from all three stories, the dark magic and dark gods and world of superheroes being incredibly fascinating, but also out of a distaste for the current state of Isekai at large.
Each chapter will release on Friday, with additional chapters being posted at certain Patreon milestones; the goal is 2 Chapters a week eventually, with each chapter containing 3-5k words. Writing is a labor of love for the author, but also an attempt to escape crippling poverty and support their rapidly aging mother, and extended family, so Patreon Donations most certainly mean the world, and can be done so here: patreon.com/ListlessEntropy
A Discord is also in the works, which you can find here: https://discord.gg/SG73g6AJvE
Criticism is greatly appreciated, and the author thanks everyone for reading - whether it be one chapter, or a hundred, they hope you enjoy the ride.
