Metadata: As with the previous short story, this one was written as an epilogue to my character in a completed Dungeons and Dragons campaign. I was inspired by the possibilities of the ending and wanted to see what I could when writing them.  Synopsis: A pilgrim ventures into the mountains, unaware that her sacred journey is caught up in a clash of gods and forgotten monsters. She will soon have to make a critical choice, and in this world, freedom is now divine.
