The age of victory. Aptly named for the victories humanity had over war, famine, the energy crisis and the reversal of the decline of the earth. And finally, their crowning achievement, the ultimate victory over the powers that be. The conquering of the human genome and the creation of a new breed of humans with singular abilities that bordered on the fantastical. These they named; Homo Invictus. Super humans.  Like all good things the age of victory didn't last. Many historians disagree on the cause but all agree the final victory spelled the end. It was either a war over the superhumans or with the superhumans that shattered the world and catapulted the survivors of the once victorious race to picking through the ruins of what once was. Now, the advent of a new race that break the old mold now threaten to throw the tethering remnants of humanity into a war where there is no victory.
