Synopsis
After missing a promotion and then losing his job, Jack Goodman catches a break that gives him a second chance to start over. His entire career was flushed in a moment of rage and extreme fish-tossing, leaving Jack to sulk in depression for how screwed he felt. In a stroke of luck, a recruiter tracks him down and offers Jack a leading role at a digital startup launching a travel service, based in Austin. The hapless product manager stumbles into a world free of the corporate structure he’d been wrapped up in, and into a team of eclectic personalities without the constraints Jack thrived in. Jack does what he was hired to do, build a business from a concept… but, responsibility gets piled on with an absent jet-setting CEO and a digital service that struggles to accomplish the founder’s vision while at the same time making money.Elephant Dick’s showcases the good intentions of professionals creating a business, meeting ethical boundaries, shady partnerships, and a need to turn a profit.
