Synopsis
The Chosen One, an archetype of a being across lands and time, is a gift from the Gods granting unnatural power to the user from birth and reincarnating across the world to bring balance to the life of mana. Tiers above anyone else, but for some reason, no one ever seemed to speak about the unwanted side effects of it at all.
Raek Ventus is the second Chosen One in the country of Aegis–in over half a century. From the moment of his birth, he has been groomed to embrace his role as a savior, his talent unmatched, his purpose preordained. But…is this all there is? To live and die as a tool of fate?
Haunted by the shadow of the former Chosen One, Raek struggles to define himself beyond the title thrust upon him. His life has not known anything outside of love, and even the people he has vowed to protect see him as a God walking amongst men. Significantly clouding his view of his own identity, is he bigger than the title, or just another person within the long lineage of destined heroes?
Humbly join Raek in his own journey, as he tries to craft his own path despite destiny and fate already laying it out for him. With his own internal conflicts, tragic backstabbing, as well as political conflicts...he begins to question whether his path is his own—or one cursed by fate itself.
WHAT TO EXPECT:-A anime-like fantasy story with Ancient Mediterranean concepts, and more primarily Ancient Greece. A unique mixture of fantasy elements. Planned on balancing action with immense depth, and a wide array of enjoyable characters.-Bountiful of references within both media and pop culture, no era shall separate niche references. Doesn't destroy the integrity of the story...at least it's believed so.-"Reincarnated" trope. Raek challenges the historic and popular "Chosen One" trope in his very own way, which could be seen as unique, or innovative. But, to answer your question. Yes, he'll commit genocide. Yes, he'll become ugly after.-A unique story to showcase storytelling and more importantly, depth within characters and the world. Pop in every now and then and see how Raek's doing, he'll appreciate it very much.Raek (Pronounced, Rake)
