Humanity is fighting for its existence in the wake of a looming threat, the machine-operated military of the Imperium. Hura, a boy from the prosperous city of Troy experiences the beginning of the end as the Imperium's slow approach quickens, forcing him to join a taboo branch of the military known for its mysterious arts in combat--the Lancers. As Troy is lost, a path opens that could lead them to furthering humanity's advancement in the century-long war.
