the world is not like it seems.  Humans have ruined the world and the beings that reigned before have been freed.  What will a Daemon of Magick be able to do with its newfound freedom and a wish to learn everything?  The gods and goddesses that Managed humanity gave up on them. The power over souls requires filling.  the system admins gave up. they left a perfectly good repository of information behind. A celestial got bored. It forgot to look behind the curtain of reality.  A being that was uncounterable met its nemesis.
